GB worked closely with the client and builder to create beautifully proportioned and lit additional living space for their growing family. This is a second home for a almost retired art collector couple with children and a growing list of grandchildren. The task was to add a secondary living space adjacent to the living room creating more privacy for the couple while the “kids” could have the rest of the house.
The house ia a contributing structure to the Eastside Historic District. The design respects and reflects the old original 1890's house. We refined the outdoor space into a contained play space for the kids and an easily transformed entertaining space with a portal and brick paths on either side.
