HILLSIDE

GB worked closely with the clients to remodel a rundown adobe in an historic district of Santa Fe with respect for the neighborhood's character and traditional design.

The roof was completely replaced, walls stabilized and skylights added to bring more light inside. A curved portal unified the outside of the structure and provided cover for the second entrance.

Though officially listed as noncontributing to the historic architecture of the area, the remodel received a preservation award from the Historic Design Review Board. A first of its kind for a noncontributing building.
